I generally don’t post much during the winter months. I tend to stay out of the cold and couldn’t imagine working on the bike unless I had a heated garage, which I don’t. But this is an excellent opportunity to clean out my closet and sell a bunch of stuff that is taking up space.
1. I need to get rid of my bulk LED bulbs. Ebay auction up now.

2. I am finally going to replace the clutch lever with the one I got off a 2006 Honda CBR. This means I’m getting rid of the left hand controls, which means I’m giving up on my turn signals. So I’ll have four very nice LED turn signals for sale pretty soon as well has the original left hand controls.
3. I’ve also decided to get rid of the pressure controlled brake light switch under the headlight which means I’m going to get a single stainless steel brake line that goes from the brake lever to the pad. So I’ll have my nearly brand new stainless steel two piece brake line plus the brake light switch for sale.
This will allow me to drop the headlight a few more inches, something I wasn’t able to do because that brake light switch was stopping it from going any lower. So essentially, I’m stripping the bike down even more which is something I should have done last summer.
And I may just sell the whole bike this spring. I haven’t made a final decision yet, but after having a baby I haven’t had nor will I have any time at all to work on motorcycles. I need a maintenance free bike, or something that is close to maintenance free.
I’ll post links to the ebay auctions as soon as I can.
Hey, have you sold your parts yet? I also have a ‘75 CB550 I am cafeing and would be interested in buying the turn signals, controls, and hoses. Please give me a shout and let me know how much you want to sell everything for. Thanks!
Hey Mark I haven’t posted my parts yet cause I haven’t had found the time to work on the bike (miserable weather). I’ll post as soon as I get those turn signals off. Then a post for the brake lines.
What, don’t want to work in the Austin snow and ice? Wimp. j/k :) Anyway, If you could make a posting or just email me when you do put them up that would be awesome.
P.S. Have you ever heard of the Austin Roadrunners Vintage Cycle club? I think they meet at the Oasis once a month.
