I checked CRC2's website but didn't see a black faced speedo with indicators. How did you pull that one off?

Thanks.

Hey Glenn
I did all my research on the SOHC Forums. I can guarantee that 1:7 is the correct ratio for the tach. You don’t want to use any other ratio for a 550. I got my tach from Cycle ReCycle who were the only dealer that even listed a 1:7 tach. A 1:2 tach will get you in the ball park but it won’t be accurate. Thanks for posting a comment, hope you enjoy the site.

Greetings

I have almsot the same bike as yours, mine is a 1976 Honda CB550F. I am looking at the same speedo and tach set up you used, which look awesome by the way!

How do you know what is the correct speedo and tach ratio to use? I see you mentioned 2240:60 for the speedo and 1:7 for the tach.

MikesXS is a good source for the mini speedo but they said all of their speedos are a 1:2 ratio. Will that ratio also work for the CB550?

Thanks for your reply.
